about

The Cardiff based artist's latest album under his own name—rather than his swefn moniker—revels in a deliberately quiet sense of brooding menace; Ian's use of textural layers gets right to the heart of the otherness in Arthur Machen's best writing. Composed of cymbals and feedback and cymbals feeding back and who-knows-what-electrickery, the album's four pieces create a fog of otherworldliness, augmented by some truly stunning/unnerving artwork by Ian for the front cover and colour disc print.

The album is limited to 50 copies on CDR, in professionally printed colour sleeves with a colour discprint. Several copies are already reserved, so hurry if you'd like to snap one up.

As a further incentive, purchase of the album direct from the label entitles the buyer to an additional download of three short bonus tracks (Sixtystone I, II and III) which were created in the same sessions that gave rise to the finished Caermaen album. These three pieces are not on the disc itself.

The physical album will be released on Monday 29 September 2014, but any pre-orders before then will have immediate access to the full digital release, including the three bonus tracks. All pre-orders will be sent out before the release date.
